I was born and raised in the quiet, beautiful town of Pittsford, NY. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a bachelors degree in Studio Art. I took photography courses in both high school and college, but never imagined that I would actually become a photographer! My supportive parents are my biggest cheerleaders in life, and molded me into who I am today.
How it all started: After Deklin was born in 2011 I taught myself how to crochet. I was living in Shanghai, China as a stay at home mom. During Deklin's long naps I would pull out my yarn and hook, and whip up a few hats. Before I knew it I had my very own crochet business. Photographers were reaching out to me and soon we were working together. I would send them hats, and in return I would get beautiful photos of newborns wearing my hats. It wasn't long after that when I thought, "why don't I make the hats AND take the photos myself!" Four years later, I've held and posed hundreds of newborn babies, watched them grow up and become older siblings! Life is truly amazing and I am so grateful that I get to capture these moments for such special families to cherish for a lifetime.
My Philosophy on life: Life is so short, it scares me. So, I wear my heart on my sleeve, I forgive easily, I'm silly, I'm sensitive, I'm outgoing, I'm a best friend, soul mate, mother, daughter and sister. My goal is to live a simple life, laugh a lot and making sure that my family gets lots of hugs and kisses. When you get to know me, you'll find out that I love cookouts, wine, trampoline jumping, bike riding, early morning workouts, big bowls of pasta, gathering with friends and family, and soaking up the suns rays.
